The Session
You get the bench to yourself — the artist, a blank deck, and however long it takes to get the drawing right. No catalogue, no mockup emailed back and forth: the art happens on the board, in front of you, while you talk. Peak season books out fast, so plan on 3–5 weeks from session to finished board. A deposit locks your date and covers their prep before you ever sit down.
How It Works
Two of these happen with you in the room. Two of them don't — and the one that matters most to know about up front is the one where your board is out of sight.
Pick a date, pay the deposit, and send over anything that describes what you want — reference photos, a place, a story, an old tattoo. We'll do a short call first if the idea needs talking through before you're both in the room.
You sit at the bench while the artist draws directly onto the board — freehand, in front of you, changing it as you talk. Once you both agree it's right, we move straight into layup: core, glass, and your finished art get pressed together the same afternoon.
Your board is not ready today
This part happens without you, and it can't be rushed. The resin needs to cure fully before we trim the edges, grind the base, and tune it — that's the difference between a board that survives a season and one that delaminates by January. Your board is not ready the day of your session.

The Deposit
The deposit isn't a booking fee — it's payment for the hours the artist spends on your board before you ever walk in: research, thumbnail sketches, material prep. That time gets spent whether or not the board ends up built, so we ask you to pay for it up front, the way a tattoo studio would.

Before You Order
Every board here is drawn and built to your spec, starting the moment your session does — there's no catalogue version sitting on a shelf to restock, so once the build's underway, a change of heart can't be undone the way it can with a t-shirt. We'd rather tell you this now than after you've paid.
That said: you get a 48-hour grace window after your session or delivery to flag anything that isn't right, and a genuine manufacturing defect — delamination, edge lift, anything that's on us — is always covered under the 2-year warranty, no matter how long you've had the board. Damage in transit is on us too, no exceptions.
Sizing
Two riders can be the same height and need boards ten centimetres apart — weight is what actually flexes the board, so it's the first number we work from. The chart below is a starting point; we confirm it against your real boots and stance in the room.

Boot size matters more than most riders expect: above roughly EU 43, boot overhang starts to drag in the snow mid-turn unless the waist is wide enough to clear it. That's why the chart above pushes toward a wide board sooner for bigger boots, not just bigger riders — bring yours to the session and we'll check overhang directly against the deck before anything gets cut.
Profiles, Explained
The profile is the curve of the base between the tip and tail — it decides how the board behaves before you've even made a turn. Here's what each one actually feels like underfoot, in plain language.
Springy and locked-in — the base arcs up between your feet before you even stand on it, so weighting it loads energy into every turn.
The opposite arc — nose and tail curve up early, the centre stays low. Loose, forgiving, and hard to catch an edge on.
Camber underfoot for drive and pop, rocker in the nose and tail for float and forgiveness. The all-rounder profile.
No arc between the feet at all — flat to the snow, with a touch of rise at the tips. Stable, predictable, easy to balance on.
What's Inside It
A board like this should tell you exactly what's in it and why. No "eco" claims without a spec behind them — just the parts list and the reasoning.

Common Questions
Design sessions are booked ahead — the room and the artist's time are yours alone for 2–3 hours, so we can't fit walk-ins around that. The shop floor itself is walk-in any time we're open, and quick questions about sizing or an existing board never need a booking.
In peak season (October–April) slots fill 3–5 weeks out — we only run four sessions a week on purpose. Over summer you can often get in within a week, which is exactly why we push the pre-season booking discount then.
Free, with 5 or more days' notice — just email or message us and we'll move your slot. Inside 5 days the deposit stays put, since prep time has already gone into your date.
